Think about your fondest school memories. It’s likely they include the time you built a model in class or tracked animals in the snow or wrote your own play. Now, we need you to help create our students’ fondest school memories.
Using what we call the Village School Approach we teach both traditional and modern skills. Students have recently investigated immigration history, befriended elderly neighbors, worked with local farmers, and explored local habitats.
Charter schools are tuition-free, public schools open to any child in New Hampshire. They provide families the opportunity to select a school that best fits their child’s learning style. Charter schools are fairly new in New Hampshire and state funding is still less than our per pupil cost.
Our Annual Fund goal for this year is $20,000. We have a generous pledge to match $10,000 of that goal dollar for dollar. We are reaching out this year to family and friends, with your help we can meet that goal.
What will your money do? Your donation will support our amazing students by helping to pay our wonderful teachers and staff a competitive salary; it will purchase curriculum materials for the Village School Approach, and it will help keep the lights on! If we are able to exceed our goal, things on our wish list include; School Library, Community Meeting Space, Playground Equipment, Stipend for Artist in Residence, Field Trip Funding, Student Transportation, Part-time Nurse, and Part-time Guidance Counselor.
Your tax-deductible donation is an investment in the Surry Village Charter School, our children, our community and our future. Please use the enclosed envelope or visit our website to donate generously.
